About The Daily Five

How it works

• Each day at midnight UTC a new set of five questions comes up: geography, science, history, food, language, the arts, nature and the odd one from elsewhere on our network.
• Every question has four answers and exactly one is right. Tap one and our server tells you straight away whether you were right, and why.
• Our server holds the answers. This page never receives one before you choose, so there is nothing to peek at.
• We write our own questions and check each fact against a reputable source before it goes up.
• Your progress and streak are kept in this browser only. Clear your browser’s site data and they start again.
• Share my score copies a row of squares, one per question, so friends can compare without spoilers.
• No account, no cookie and no ads. The daily email is optional, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
